Ewa Ciechanowska, PhD - artist, curator and Associate Professor at the Polish National Film School in Lodz, at the Department of Photography. In her works she focuses on the issue of memory, the subjective experience of time and the social aspects of the influence of the media on the perception of the observer.
Curator of numerous exhibitions at international photography events and festivals, such as:
Waste Index at Triennial of Photography in Hamburg (2015), Darkroom, Flow, Volumes and other birds at Photofestiwal in Lodz (2018, 2015, 2014), Future Condition and In the Matter/in:Visible at Photokina Academy in Cologne (2014, 2016) and In the Matter of Things at Month of Photography in Bratislava (2011). The editor of a book entitled Some Things Visible and Invisible Things showing the current situation and various creative attitudes of students of photography at the Film School in Lodz.
