Ronnie Fisher

Architect, Collector

New York, USA

Ronne has been a New Yorker her entire life, attending Barnard College, where she created the major of Architectural Studies, then onto Columbia University School of Architecture, where she earned her Masters in Architecture, eventually going on to work with Robert A.M. Stern Architects for most of her professional career.  While at Stern's office, (which grew from 6 architects to over 110 when she departed,) she oversaw construction of a multitude of projects from residential to commercial, designing fabrics, furniture, lighting, carpets, as well as china and glassware, curating the design from inception to move-in completion.  She spearheaded her own firm for many years before entering the non-profit world; first as the chairperson of the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club Annual Designer Showhouse in NYC for 10 years, where she launched the careers of many of today's most successful architects and interior designers; then as the chairperson, again for 10 years, of the Promise Ball of the NYC Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, helping to raise tens of millions of dollars for research.  She is currently serving on the board of the New York Landmarks

Conservancy, a position she absolutely adores.

Ronne's interest in photography goes back many years when she began taking photography appreciation classes, visiting every gallery in New York that exhibited anything derived from or related to a camera.  She and her husband have become collectors of photography, predominantly contemporary, figurative and landscape.
