Since his childhood he always had a big passion for photography. Already in 2013 he started to collaborate as freelance photographer with some photographic studios.
From 2016 he has began a personal research on religions origins worldwide, by investigating the influence they had on humankind. This research ended up in a long-term project called "One God". Subsequently in 2019 Carlo began working with the most important Italian newspapers as a news and reportage photographer commissioned by Corriere della Sera and Repubblica.
He worked first under LaPresse agency and currently with Fotogramma.
While working for the main Italian newspapers, Carlo has never lost his interest in his in-depth work related to human beings.

Over thirty thousand deads, an entire generation of elderly people disappeared in solitude and a country overwhelmed by a three-month nightmare.
COVID19 in Italy has had its epicenter in Lombardy, the second outbreak in the world after China.
In Lombardy there have been half of the deaths of the entire country. In March 2020 the Italian health system collapsed, with no vaccines available and with thousands of infected nurses forced into quarantine.
In April doctors assisted patients in their homes to limit the virus spread while the Italian Army collected the huge amount of coffins from improvised deposits or churches to transport the bodies to crematories.
